Some good ones. Others, I disagree with. For example, Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre need to be chucked off right now. And I wouldn't put the Bible so far down the list, but I suppose if we're talking in terms of literary merit and not spiritual merit, okay.

Ulysses and Old Man and the Sea are two I despise and find no merit in them.

Get rid of Lord of the Flies, for sure. And Beowulf can come off too.
I would whack off a few more!

I agree with the above thoughts. I also think that Metamorphosis and the Trial can leave the list too.

The metamorphosis loses something in the translation.

I have to add, that four of the list I have read this semester in Russian Literature class and had never read prior to that (Crime and Punishment, Anna Karenina, Dead Souls, and Fathers and Children).
