"I Will Stand By You Forever..."

So tonight I was at a stake dance and they played one of my favorite songs played, and I'd like to dedicate a little thing to the people it made me think of.

Would you dance
If I asked you to dance?
Would you run
And never look back?
Would you cry
If you saw me cry?
And would you save my soul, tonight?

Would you tremble
If I touched your lips?
Would you laugh?
Oh please tell me this.
Now would you die
For the one you loved?
Hold me in your arms, tonight.

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.

Would you swear
That you'll always be mine?
Or would you lie?
Would you run and hide?
Am I in too deep?
Have I lost my mind?
I don't care
You're here tonight.

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.

Oh, I just want to hold you.
I just want to hold you.
Am I in too deep?
Have I lost my mind?
I don't care
You're here tonight.

I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain.
I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.

I can be your hero
I can kiss away the pain.
And I will stand by you forever.
You can take my breath away.
You can take my breath away.

I can be your hero

It would take awhile for me to list all the people that this little song by Enrique Iglesias brings to mind, but I'd just like to say that there's a list of these people that I hear singing this song to me. And I love you all dearly. And yes, I would dance if you asked me to dance. I would run. I would cry if I saw you cry. I would tremble. I would laugh. I would die.

I will swear to always love you all. I would not lie. And please, you are my heroes. Keep being them.

I'm not going to list you all, because I'm sure to forget somebody who does belong on the list. But just know that I respect you. Some of you I haven't seen for years and I don't even know where you are, but you made a difference to me--and the most important part is that I don't even think you were trying to.

Hannah, I read on down your page. I didn't know that you had a blog site going for so long - that's pretty sneaky to not let "grandpa" know. I was enlightened, entertained and proud to know you and that you are my granddaughter. gwh
